[Comment] Blood pressure lowering trials: wrapping up the topic?

After years of recommendations for a low target blood pressure in hypertensive patients, particularly those with diabetes or previous cardiovascular or renal disease, major guidelines on hypertension management1–4 released since 2013 have re-evaluated the concept of the lower the better (ie, the lower the systolic and diastolic blood pressure achieved, the better the patient outcome).
