[Comment] Neurostimulation in patients with heart failure and central sleep apnoea

Central sleep apnoea is highly prevalent in patients with chronic heart failure1 and is associated with an increased mortality risk in such patients, independent of the severity of heart failure.2,3 This patient population has impaired sleep quality due to several factors such as central sleep apnoea, periodic limb movements, and the severity of heart failure.4 Reduced sleep quality, assessed by polysomnography, is associated with increased mortality in patients with chronic heart failure and central sleep apnoea.
