[Correspondence] How successful was the English teenage pregnancy strategy? – Authors’ reply

Errors in the letter by Peter Craig and colleagues need to be addressed. The claim that we ascribe the fall in teenage pregnancies in England since 1999 to the Teenage Pregnancy Strategy (TPS) is inaccurate. We identified and considered the possible effect of several possible contributory factors, of which the TPS is one.1 The claim that we provide evidence that higher levels of Local Implementation Grant funding were associated with faster rates of decline in more deprived English areas is incorrect.
