[Correspondence] Invasive strategy in acute coronary syndrome
Nicolai Tegn and colleagues1 concluded that an early invasive strategy improves outcomes in elderly patients (aged 80 years or older) with non-ST-elevation acute coronary syndrome. The investigators should be congratulated for completing such an important trial in a patient population that is under-represented in randomised trials. However, despite screening more than 4000 patients, only 10% were enrolled. The low rate of enrolment of eligible patients limits the generalisability of their findings.
