[Correspondence] Involvement of doctors in Aum Shinrikyo

In July, 2018, 13 main members of the Aum Shinrikyo doomsday cult were executed, including the cult leader and his executive followers.1 Some of the cult members specialised in medicine, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering, and their expertise enabled a series of biochemical terrorist attacks. They were accused of several murders and a sarin gas attack on the Tokyo underground in 1995, which killed 13 people and left more than 6000 people injured.1–3
