[Editorial] The Greek health crisis

The escalating financial turmoil in Greece has dominated headlines in the media in recent weeks, and will continue to do so as the implications of the July 5 bailout referendum are digested. Greek citizens voted “no” to the acceptance of the latest bailout terms of the European Commission, the International Monetary Fund, and the European Central Bank in a 61% to 39% vote. Amid talk of new deals, exit from the Eurozone, and the closure of Greek banks, the fact that the crisis in Greece is not only economic, but also about health, should not be forgotten.
