[Editorial] What happened to health in Buenos Aires?

It’s easy to be cynical about grand gatherings of world leaders. The G20 concluded its tenth annual meeting in Buenos Aires, Argentina, last weekend. A concluding Declaration claimed to endorse a “people-centred, inclusive, and forward-looking” agenda for sustainable development. That vision seems at odds with a world where multilateralism is under threat, associations of nations are fragmenting, and trade wars are flourishing. Paragraph 21, for example, reiterates US withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement.
